1. Where were you born and raised?
I
was born and raised in New Brunswick in Canada and still live relatively
close to there.
2. When did you start bodybuilding?
I
started lifting weights when I was 12 and bodybuilding when I was around
18.
3. What inspired you to start?
What inspired me to start was looking at the magazines of bodybuilders
and feeling like that was something I could do too and really enjoy
it. I was right.
4.
How did you get into competing?
I
always thought this was kinda funny but all the gym owners of the gyms
I went to asked me when I was going to compete.
5. What other sports were you involved in?
Other
sports that I have played include rugby and football. I boxed for awhile
too.
6.
What was your skinniest weight as a teen or adult and what was your
highest?
My smallest weight as a teenager would have been around 165lbs. I was
always a bigger kid. My highest was up around 270.
7.
Who were your bodybuilding idols?
I,
like most bodybuilders I suppose, admire Arnold. I've always had the
utmost respect and am a huge fan of Dorian Yates.
8. Have you met most of your idols and how were thy in person?
I've
never had the chance to meet Arnold. I did meet Dorian several years
ago and he seemed like a really cool guy.
9.
What do you think are your best physical assets?
I
think my best physical asset would definately be my back.
10.
What exercises do you most enjoy doing in the gym?
I
don't really have a favorite exercise. Some guys love to do their arms
because it blasts them out. Same with chest. I just like to be at the
gym working out. I don't have any sort of "dread days". Its
all fun for me.
11.
What is your favoite bodybuilding pose and why?
My
favorite bodybuilding pose is the Front Double Bicep. I think this pose
shows off my lats really well.
12.
What would your fans be most surprised to know about you?
They
would probably surpised to learn that I love to read.
13. What are your physical dimensions?
My
physical dimensions I would have to guess at as I have not measured
for awhile. Biceps I would say 22", waist right now is about 32",
chest is about 58", quads are about 31". I'm 5'10", and
my weight is about 270lbs.
14. Do you have any phobias?
I
don't really have any phobias. I mean I'm not afraid of mice or water
or anything. I'm not really fond of walking around ledges of tall buildings.
Heights kinda freak me out, but I don't really think much about it.
15.
What sorts of jobs have you held outside of bodybuilding?
Outside
of bodybuilding I have had my own tanning salon. I've also worked as
a doorman at a few bars, sorry no exciting stories to report there.
And of course I have worked at a few gyms.
16.
Do people stare at you in public because of your size and how do you
feel about it?
Yes,
people stare at me in public and it can be very flattering in some ways.
Then there are people who stare negatively and have negative comments
to make about my appearance. It doesn't really bother me. I don't know
why it would bother them, you know? Everyone is intitled to their own
opinion.
17.
You lived in California for awhile. Tell us about that. Why did you
move there and how was it?
I
spent some time in Southern California. I enjoyed it. L.A. can be pretty
much whatever you make it. There's everything going on there. I did
miss being away from my friends and family, that's basically the reason
I returned to Canada.
18.
Where do you think you'll be and what will you be doing in 10 years?
in 20?
I
don't really have any expectations for the next 10 or even 20 years.
I'm just living life, working out, competing and enjoying myself!
